The appointment-based system of work at the Consulate

In order to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases, especially COVID-19, and taking into account adequate security measures, the Consular section of the CZ Embassy maintains a system of pre-arranged meetings for public when executing its regular agenda. Only citizens of the Czech Republic in need can have immediate access to the Consular section if they request emergency help.

In case you need any consular act (verification and notary agendas, registry or travel documents, etc.), contact the Consulate by email riga.consulate@mzv.gov.cz (or by phone +371 6733 8179). You can come to the Consulate only after confirmation of the meeting by email and assigning a specific date. The consular section always tries to comply with the request for an appointment in the shortest possible time.

To facilitate an assignment of appointment, always include in your request clear, comprehensive and complete the following information:

• name and surname of the person who is to come to the consulate,
• telephone number of the person who comes to the Consulate (not to a legal representative, assistant or other person who communicates on behalf of the applicant)
• the type of the requested consular/notary act(s) and their number,
• and information on whether the person is vaccinated against covid-19 or holds a valid EU DCC.

When entering the consulate building, follow the instructions you will receive in the email confirming the appointment, especially the appropriate hygiene measures. Do not come to the confirmed appointment if you observe symptoms of a possible illness.
