After all guests have been welcomed and two national anthems sounded, the Ambassador Czech Republic in Latvia Miroslav Kosek opened the reception with speech and toast.

The reception was attended by the representatives of many diplomatic missions in Riga, members of Saeima, representatives of cultural, business and sports areas, as well as the Czech compatriots and representatives of the "Latvia - Czech association".

The National Day celebration was supported by sponsors - Karlo Motors Ltd., the official dealer of Skoda Latvia. In front of embassy there were installed two Skoda cars - Škoda Superb (version Laurin & Klement) and Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo. Also, the event was supported by the company Stanbev, the exclusive distributor of beer Budvar Latvia and the company LeBens, distributor of Mattoni mineral waters.

Solemn atmosphere was underlined  by the Latvian Jawa Club members who presented different models of motorcycles, such as Jawa 350, 350-368 and  famous Strakonice scooter Čezeta, that  reminded the glorious past of those two brands. Those two brands have been  remembered in Latvia as those with the best quality of the Czech products.
