Presentation of the traveling exhibition „ROBOT: Born in Czechia, known all over the world“

The presentation of the traveling exhibition "ROBOT: Born in Czechia, known all over the world" took place  in the European Parliament in Strasbourg on October 18, 2022. The exhibition presents attractive and significant phenomena such as the word robot itself or the related perspective fields of robotics, artificial intelligence, and artificial life.

The exhibition, which mainly presents the essential contribution of Czech artists and scientists in these fields, was prepared on the occasion of the Czech Presidency of the EU by the Central Bohemian Region together with the Karel Čapek Memorial in Stará Huť u Dobříše. The word robot is of Czech origin and was invented by the writer Josef Čapek and used by his brother Karel Čapek in his play R.U.R. November 1920.
