The Even Odd exhibition symbolises European togetherness

On 21 September 2022, the Bozar Cultural Centre hosted the opening of Even Odd, an exhibition by Czech artist Milena Dopitová. The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the togetherness that is so characteristic of Europeans despite their diversity.

"For us, Brussels is a place where different parties and people come together to address our future. Hence the title Even, Odd," explained author Milena Dopitová during the opening evening.

Milena Dopitová's exhibition at Bozar is intended for the broadest cultural audience in Brussels. The collection of objects is derived from the shapes of a railroad construction kit, thus representing the infrastructure that connects the different European states, and at the same time individuals in their network of social ties.

According to the author, the whole exhibition references to the sense of belonging that is typical for Europe despite its diversity. It symbolises the solidarity and unity that must be constantly strived for. The exhibition takes place in the Horta Hall until the end of October.

The event was organised by the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, Bozar, the National Gallery Prague and the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU.
