Heads of state and government of the European Union met, on 23 May 2012, in Brussels for an informal dinner. They discussed primarily the main pillars of growth initiatives and the situation in the eurozone. The Czech delegation was led by Prime Minister Petr Nečas.

The following day, the head of the Czech Government met with the President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso. The meeting focused of growth initiatives, EU budget and the Union’s structural funds.
