Seminar will examine future EU Trade Policy

Date: 11 November 2010 - 12 November 2010, Venue: Brussels

Another debate on topical EU issues takes place under the auspices of Ambassador Milena Vicenová.

The Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU will host, on Thursday 11 November 2010, a seminar on the future of EU Trade Policy. The event is held under the auspices of Ambassador Milena Vicenová, the Czech Permanent Representative to the EU, and organised jointly with CEBRE – Czech Business Representation to the EU.

The reason for the debate is the expected release of the new EU trade strategy, entitled „Trade Policy as an essential part of the Europe 2020 Strategy“. This document is expected to be unveiled by the European Commisison on 9 November 2010. The seminar at the Czech Permanent Representation will thus be one of the first opportunities for discussion on this topic.

Topical issues will be addressed by distinguished speakers from the Commission, the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, BUSINESSEUROPE and ECIPE – European Centre for International Political Economy.
