Freedom House will share insights into key press freedom trends covered in the Freedom of the Press 2015 report, including conflict, opaque media ownership, authoritarian governance, and regressive regulations. Participants from each country will put the challenges facing journalists and the media in these countries into comparative perspective, and highlight common challenges and responses, including policy options for European countries seeking to support the development of truly free and vibrant media.
Opening remarks will be delivered by His Excellency Jaroslav Kurfürst, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Belgium.
