
Political directors of V4 countries attended consultations in Ramallah

On June 9, 2015, political consultations were held at the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs between political directors of Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Visegrad group countries (V4, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) and Ms. Amal Jadou, Director General of the Palestinian MFA.
The Czech MFA was represented by Mr. Ivan Jestřáb, political director. Delegations have discussed perspectives of deadlocked peace talks between Palestine and Israel as well as Palestinian efforts for international recognition of the State of Palestine. They have also discussed broader situation in the Middle East region. V4 political directors met head of EUPOL COPPS mission in Ramallah, Mr. Rodolph Mauget during the visit and have visited Bethlehem where they met honorary consuls of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. On July 1st, 2015 the Czech Republic becomes the chair-country of Visegrad group after Slovakia.
