Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies 2025

The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies are three- to four-week Czech language courses organized by several public universities in the Czech Republic, which take place annually in July and August.
The courses are intended chiefly for foreign students, experts (teachers, translators, interpreters) and academics in the field of Czech and Slavic studies who are at least 18 years old. However, due to their broad scope, they are also open to everyone else interested in the Czech language, literature, history and culture.
The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies (SSSS) offer Czech language courses at various levels of proficiency, seminars focused on the Czech literature, culture, and history, leisure activities including theatre, music, and dance performances, excursions, sightseeing trips, etc.
Applicants from Norway can now apply for 2 scholarships at following locations:
Masaryk University in Brno (July 26 - August 23, 2025)
Palacky University in Olomouc (July 12 - August 10, 2025).
The scholarship in the form of reimbursement of participation costs is provided by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports directly to the relevant university.

Applicants are required to submit the completed application form along with their CVs in Czech or English on the e-mail address of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Oslo: oslo@mzv.gov.cz by 15 March 2025.
Selected candidates and substitute nominees will register themselves and file an online application for the scholarship online. Summer school will contact them directly afterwards.
