State Opening of the 164th Storting Parliamentary Season

On October 2, 2019, Ambassador Jaroslav Knot attended the state opening of the 164th Storting parliamentary season. Ceremonial events took place in the presence of the Norwegian royal couple, the Successor of the throne, members of the government and elected deputies.
A speech from the throne (the government program) was presented by His Majesty Harald V. to the members of the Storting. The royal speech had contained the main priorities of the Kingdom of Norway´s government for the upcoming period.
The government representative then presented a report on the state and administration of Norway, summarizing the government's activities for the past year.
Ms Tone Wilhelmsen Trøen, President of Storting, finished the ceremony by the salutation.
