New changes to education legislature to help Czech children abroad

The Czech parliament has recently passed changes to the education bill that aims to help Czech children who study abroad. According to the new bill, children’s legal guardians will not have to register their kids at Czech schools. From now on, the legal guardians’ sworn statement of their children’s education will suffice.

Even those children who were born abroad and are Czech citizens either need to be registered at Czech schools or their guardians must submit a sworn statement of their education.

The changes to the education bill also mean that Czech children studying abroad are entitled to some exemptions regarding the state exams.

Changes to the bill also contain the compulsory pre-primary education for children. However, this does not apply for those whose stay in the Czech Republic is no longer than 90 days.
