Promoting economic progress and security in the OSCE area through energy co-operation, new technologies, good governance and connectivity in the digital era was the main theme of the concluding meeting of the 27th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum that was held in Prague on 11 – 13 September 2019.
Czech Foreign Minister Tomáš Petříček, Slovak Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Miroslav Lajčák, Albanian Deputy Foreign Minister Etjen Xhafaj and OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger opened the Forum.
The panellists and representatives of the OSCE participating States focused in their deliberations on the preparation of deliverables of this year’s OSCE Ministerial Council in the field of economic and environmental dimension. The discussions followed up on the outcomes of two preparatory meetings held in Vienna in January and in Bratislava in May.
