On 31 May 2019 the Slovak OSCE Chairmanship (SK CiO) under the leadership of Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Slovak MFA and Special Representative for the SK CiO, organized in Vienna a meeting of the Informal Working Group on the OSCE Scales of Contributions. A proposal of a long-term reform of the Scales of Contributions was introduced at the meeting.
The Czech Republic was represented by Amb. Ivo Šrámek, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the OSCE. Ambassador Šrámek stressed in his speech that the Czech Republic has always been supportive of a systematic reform of the Scales of Contributions building upon relevant, fair, objective and transparent criteria. He described the proposal as a pragmatic solution, which reflects the sometimes diverging interests of the participating States and which could stabilize the OSCE.
