International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust

Permanent Mission in cooperation with Permanent Mission of Israel and the United Nations Information Service (UNIS) participated in commemorative event held on 28.1.2019 in Vienna´s Topkino - a film screening of the documentary "Dear Freddy". Ambassador Ivo Šrámek and Ambassador of Israel Talya Lador-Fresher opened the evening. A significant part of the film reminds tragic events related to Concentration camp in Terezin, therefore one of the panellists partcipating in the discussion after the film screening was Deputy Director of Terezin Memorial Mr. Vojtech Blodig. Director and Co-producer of "Dear Fredy" Mr. Ruby Gat and Secretary General of the National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victims of National Socialism Ms. Hannah Lessing were another excellent panellists of this interesting discussion.

The event followed up on the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust held on 25.1.2019 at the United Nations premises in Vienna with participation of the Director General of the United Nations Office in Vienna Mr. Y. Fedotov.
