During the first meeting of Deputy Minister M. Povejšil with OSCE Secretary General T. Greminger, both representatives shared their views on key current OSCE issues, with a focus on the situation in Eastern Ukraine, including the fundamental role of the SMM and the necessity of ensuring its further functioning. Deputy Minister Povejšil emphasised the full support and long-term commitment of the Czech Republic to the OSCE efforts, other crises and conflicts in the OSCE area were also briefly touched upon. The preparations of the Czech Chairmanship of the OSCE Forum for Security Cooperation (FSC) in autumn this year were discussed, also in terms of substance and preliminary thoughts about possible deliverables. 　

Deputy Minister Povejšil also met with OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, H. Désir. Deputy Minister Povejšil expressed strong support of the Czech Republic for the activities and mandate of the RFoM, which is an essential component of the Human Dimension of the OSCE. The Czech Republic cooperates with this autonomous institution within the framework of the ongoing Czech Chairmanship of the OSCE Human Dimension Committee as well as bilaterally. Support of free and independent media in regions of Eastern Partnership and Western Balkans forms an important part of Czech foreign policy aimed at promoting democracy and human rights.　

Deputy Minister Povejšil discussed at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on the expert level safeguards agreements and related international security issues. He met with Deputy Director General of the IAEA M. A. Hayward to touch the issue of the currently prepared budget of the Agency and of the role that the Czech Republic plays in the spectrum of the IAEA activities. Deputy Minister Povejšil praised the irreplaceable, impartial, and highly professional role of the Agency and he expressed full confidence in the Agency work.
