On February 1, 2024, the Chairman of the UN Commission for Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ), Ambassador Ivo Šrámek, spoke at a meeting of the Coordination Segment of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and presented there the CCPCJ's contribution to the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda, specifically goal 16 "Peace, justice and strong institution". One of the goals of the CCPCJ for this year is the fulfillment of UNSC resolutions 78/223, 78/225 and 78/227 on equal access to justice for all – also the main theme of the 15th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, which will take place in 2026 in United Arab Emirates.
