Czechia to support Lutheran World Federation’s efforts in Lebanon

Ambassador Václav Bálek and Maria Immonen, Director of the World Service Department of the Lutheran World Federation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding concerning a financial contribution of USD 350 thousand to the project in Lebanon through The Aid in Place program of the Czech Ministry of Interior.
 

The initiative aims at expanding livelihood opportunities for youth and at-risk adults in Lebanon through increasing access to prevocational and vocational training. It will improve the quality and breadth of training for over 50 youths and broaden access to community-based income-generating opportunities in the informal settlement of Hay el Gharbeh in the South Beirut.
