HRC33: Czech Republic Draws Attention to the Deteriorating Human Rights Situation in Ukraine

The Czech Republic appreciates the constitutional reforms regarding the judiciary in Ukraine and has accentuated the importance of their full implementation.
 

The sharp increase of victims in the east of Ukraine and the details of human rights abuses, however, are a source of concern. The Czech Republic urges both sides to uphold the terms of the Minsk Accords.

At the 33rd Assembly of the Humans Rights Council, the Czech Republic highlighted the deterioration of the situation in illegaly annexed Crimea. This is why the Czech Republic urges the Russian Federation to grant access for the international human rights observers to the annexed peninsula.
