Participation of women and girls belongs to human rights issues supported by Czechia. The technological world is all around us. At the same time, women and girls who decide to pursue a career in IT still continue to face various barriers.

On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic will support a public event organized by the Permanent Mission of Israel also in cooperation with Permanent Missions of Germany, Finland, USA, Cameroon, Mexico and organizations ITU, UNWOMEN, Parlament 51, Power in Diversity and Czechitas.

Czechia will be represented by Ms Olga Maximová from a Czech non-governmental organization Czechitas. Ms Maximová will speak about Czechitas’ work focused on women and girls interested in the IT world. Other speakers will include Ms Jenni Lukander, President of Nokia Technologies, or Ambassador for Cyber Foreign Policy of Germany Ms Regine Grienberger.
