The Czechs are among the leaders in the drone industry.

The Unmanned Systems Expo - XPONENTIAL, held in Denver, Colorado, in the first half of May, was co-hosted for the first time by Messe Düsseldorf North America (MDNA) - one of the world's most successful trade show companies - and the Association for Unmanned Vehicles International (AUVSI), the world's largest association representing the unmanned systems industry.
XPONENTIAL brings together thousands of top industry professionals each year - including end users. It offers a rare opportunity to learn about the latest technologies, meet new partners, and learn and solve problems with colleagues worldwide. It is the largest event of its kind in the world focused on drones and autonomous systems in terms of the number of exhibitors, visitors, and technological level. Therefore Czech companies could take advantage of the fair. Besides the exhibition space this year, the fair offered 165 hours of educational programs, 21 workshops, 78 individual presentations, and 46-panel discussion meetings. Approximately 500 companies from 60 countries exhibited at the fair.
Aerospace manufacturing has been associated with the Czech Republic since time immemorial. Until the 1990s, however, it focused mainly on military types or transport and transport aircraft for civil and military use. After 1989, private business enabled the dynamic development of sport and ultralight aircraft, which today represent an essential export item. UAVs can now take this traditional sector to the next level, not only in terms of production but also in research and development. The Czech Republic ranks globally among the leading and respected aircraft and aeronautical equipment manufacturers. In this respect, the Czech Republic outperforms even larger countries, including, for example, France or Germany.
We have actively cooperated with the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Alliance (UAVA) to prepare the participation of our companies at the fair. Its mission is to create conditions and optimal conditions for research, development, production, and trade to develop UAV technologies and UAV applications. Cooperation with state and local authorities and the Parliament is also vital in the field of business in the UAV industry. In a society-wide context, the Alliance is committed to public awareness of UAV technology. To fulfill this mission, it brings together in particular commercial entities, researchers and institutions, NGOs and non-profit organizations, and all supporters of the UAV industry. Czech Companies Upvision, Workswell, Dronetag , LIAZ, and Mejzlik Propellers - members of AUVSI had the opportunity to hear the latest ideas on technology integration across sectors, attend keynote presentations, showcase their technologies and share their views in a public exhibition in one of the cinema halls during the conference. They also presented their products at the national booth.
The interest in technologies from the Czech Republic, which the companies perceived both during their public presentation and throughout the fair, assured us that supporting the participation of companies at trade fairs of this kind makes sense and opens up opportunities for further growth and global expansion of Czech technologies. At the same time, it provides Czech companies with a unique opportunity to present their innovations, establish business contacts and expand their activities on a global level. The participation of Czech companies in this event contributes to strengthening the position of the Czech Republic as a center of development and production in the field of drones and unmanned systems. GK LA plans to continue to support the participation of our companies in events of a similar nature in the coming years.
