Exhibition "Identity" by painter Zuzana Dvorská Šípová

From 5 October to 9 November, the Embassy building will host the exhibition "Identity" by leading Czech painter Zuzana Dvorská Šípová.

The opening of the exhibition took place on 5 October and the exhibition was opened by Ambassador Marie Chatardová during state reception on the occasion of the Day of the Establishment of the Independent Czechoslovak State. The exhibition is located in the Embassy's representative part and the public can visit it until 9 November 2023. If you are interested in a viewing, you must first contact us at press.london@embassy.mzv.cz.

The" Identity" is an exhibition of hyperrealist paintings that began with the discovery of a suitcase containing the personal effects of the artist's grandfather, which he had with him during forced labour deployment to Gladbeck, Germany. Her grandmother assisted the painter in finding connections to everyday objects, and after her death and the clearing out of the house, the personal objects of other family members were gradually discovered.
