Slovenian president Borut Pahor decorated the representatives of the Police and the Army of the Czech Republic for contributions during the migration crisis in 2015 and 2016

On December 7, 2018, the Slovenian president Borut Pahor presented the diplomas and the medals of merit to the Police and the Army of the Czech Republic for the aid with the migration crisis provided to Slovenia in 2015 and 2016. The awards were collected by Tomáš Tuhý, the Czech Ambassador to Slovakia and the former president of the Police of the Czech Republic, and Aleš Rybka, the lieutenant colonel of the Army of the Czech Republic.
The Slovenian president Borut Pahor presented the decorations for contributions during the migration crisis to the representatives of the Slovenian administration, police and armed forces and to several institutions from 11 countries: Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Hungary, France, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania and Bulgaria. The awards were collected in the presence of the Czech Ambassador in Slovenia Věra Zemanová by Tomáš Tuhý, the Czech Ambassador in Slovakia, and by the lieutenant colonel Aleš Rybka. During the migration crisis Mr. Tuhý served as the president of the Police of the Czech Republic and Mr. Rybka commanded a 12-member team of the Military Medical Agency deployed in Slovenia. The Czech Republic was the only country to have contributed by armed forces.
