The reception in Singapore was launched by Ambassador of the Czech Republic Mr. Ivan Hotek. He mentioned the historical overview and reviewed mutual relations between the Czech Republic and Singapore in his welcoming speech. He also urged the Czech community living in Singapore to create the Czech-Singaporean association for further promotion of the Czech-Singaporean ties in the different area of interest.

Approximately 450 guests took part in celebrating of the Czech National Day in Jakarta. The Deputy Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic Mr. Tomas Kuchta and the group of representatives of the Senate of the Czech Parliament were the guests of honor. The Minister of Transport of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. B. K. Sumadi and Czech Ambassador Mr. Ivan Hotek opened the gala reception by their welcoming speeches, in which they highly appreciated the mutual cooperation and relations between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Indonesia.
