Celebrating Young Talents at the Czech Embassy in Jakarta

On January 31, 2024, the Embassy hosted an award ceremony for the 51st International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice with the theme of „DANCE“.

In a remarkable achievement, out of 16 416 works registered for the competition from all over the world, seven Indonesian students were awarded for their paintings, namely Renata Sharafina (10 years old), Tambrin Keegan Harrison (16 years old), Fauzi Khalisya Putri (15 years old), Balfour Quincy (10 years old), Kinan Alia Falisha (15 years old), Arip Erika Wahyu Listiana (15 years old), Agus Meisya Dini Wulandari (13 years old). Ambassador Jaroslav Doleček personally presented the diplomas and small gifts to the talented young artists, recognizing their creativity and efforts.

The Lidice International Children's Art Exhibition (MDVV Lidice) was founded in 1967 to honor the monuments of child victims from the Czech village of Lidice, murdered by the German Nazis, and all other children who perished in war conflicts. This originally national exhibition became an international exhibition in 1973 and during its history became well known not only among children and teachers here, but literally all over the world. In recent years, more than 25,000 very high-quality works of art from children not only from the Czech and Slovak Republics, but also from other 70-80 countries of the world, have regularly entered the exhibition.

We congratulate the young artists and look forward to this year’s round with the topic of „CARAVAN“!
