The double exhibition honors the memory of Jan Hus

The Czech Centre in the Netherlands together with the Comenius Museum in Naarden organize a double exhibition dedicated to the Czech Church reformer Jan Hus. The exhibitions entitled ‘Word and Truth’ and ‘Jan Hus in 1415 and 600 years after’ were officially opened on Monday July 6 by the ambassador of the Czech Republic in the Netherlands Ms. Jana Reinišová.

The event is held on the official ocassion of the six-hundred-years anniversary of Jan Hus’ death.  The exhibitions present objects and original prints from the 16th century and show the development that led from Hus’s movement to the emergence of Comenius’s Unity of the Brethren. The exhibitions will be available until January 31 2016.
