Exhibition 'Establishment of Czechoslovakia 1918'

At the occasion of centennial anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia in 1918 the Czech Embassy in The Hague, CzechTourism Benelux and the Czech Centre Rotterdam present the exhibition 'Establishment of Czechoslovakia 1918' which will take place from 6th of April to 31st of May in the Europe House in The Hague.

Due to the security measures all visitors of the Europe House are required to bring a legal personal ID (ID card, passport, driving licence).

Alois Nebel at the University of Amsterdam
 

On the 5th of April film Alois Nebel will be screened at the University of Amsterdam. The screening takes place within the lecture series 'Focus on Russia and Eastern Europe' organised by the Amsterdam University College. After the film, there will be an interviewed debate with Jaroslav Rudiš, the author of the film script based on the trilogy of his comic books 'Alois Nebel'.

Introdans - Kylián4all

On Sunday 8th April the Theater de Veste presents the dance performance created by the famous Czech choreographer Jiří Kylián. Before the performance, there will be a dancing workshop for children (ages 6 and up) with a free drink.

Go Short festival 2018

The 10th edition of short film festival Go Short will take place between the 11th and the 15th of April 2018 in Nijmegen. During the five festival days Europe’s best recent short films will be screened and the Go Short Awards will be presented. This year's edition of Go Short will screen 4 Czech short films: Running sushi, The Fruits of the Clouds, Awaker and The House. Aside from the competitions, Go Short offers an extensive program of events, talks, workshops, parties and meeting points for film makers and the public.

Spui 25 Jan Patočka

 

On 16th of April SPUI25 and the Internationale Spinozaprijs Foundation organise a public programme in honor of Jan Patočka. Patočka's work as well as the meeting between the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Max Van der Stoel and Patočka on 1 March 1977 in Prague will be discussed by the political scientists and historians, such as professor of Political Science Jacques Rupnik. The programme will be hosted by Frank Vandenbroucke.
