Remembrance of victims of WW2 at the Leudal Monument of tolerance

On 12 November 2015, the Head of the Czech Embassy, H.E. Ms. Jana Reinišová, attended a ceremony to commemorate the victims of WW2 at the Leudal Monument of tolerance, near Haelen in the province of Limburg.
 

The Memorial of tolerance was erected in 2001 in honor of the 687 soldiers of eleven nationalities who perished in the area during the WW2. Among them were the Czechoslovak airmen in whose honor Ambassador Reinišová along with the lieutenant Mr. Pavel Staněk from Čáslav air base laid a wreath at the memorial.


The crew of the downed aircraft of the 311th Squadron had the following composition:
