Monument of Max van den Stoel in Prague

On March 3, 2017 Vice-President of the European Comission  F. Timmermans, Minister of foreign affairs of the Czech Republic L. Zaorálek, Mayor of Prague 6 O. Kolář and   Dick Verkijk ( journalist that was present at the meeting of Max van den Stoel and Jan Patocka) unveiled the monument of the former Dutch minister of foreign affairs Max van den Stoel. The event took place on the occasion of the meeting of Max van den Stoel with the speaker of "Charta 77" on March 1, 1977 and was organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Prague together with Minisitry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and Prague 6. Ambassador Jana Reinišová was  present at the event as well.
