Dutch Foreign Affairs Minister in Prague

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Mr. Bert Koenders paid a working visit to the Czech Republic on January 15, 2016, accompanied by the State Secretary for Migration Mr. Klaas Dijkhoff.
Both government officials met with the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Lubomír Zaorálek and the Interior Minister Mr. Milan Chovanec, were received by the Prime Minister Mr. Bohuslav Sobotka and by the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Mr. Jan Hamáček. Minister Koenders also briefly met with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mr. Andrej Babiš and visited the Václav Havel Library. Minister Dijkhoff also met with the Minister of Justice Mr. Robert Pelikán. The Netherlands delegation arrived in Prague to present the priorities of the Dutch presidency of the EU. The major topic of the meetings was migration but the ministers also devoted talks to international security, the issues of the EU, cooperation with the Visegrad Group and the Eastern Europe agenda. Ministers confirmed that bilateral relations and mutual trade are excellent.
