Launch of Irish Chamber of Commerce in Central Europe

The Irish Chamber of Commerce in Central Europe was officially launched by the Minister for Small Business, John Perry TD, in Enterprise Ireland’s Dublin headquarters on 3 April 2014.

i-Cham CE is an umbrella organisation representing Irish Chambers of Commerce, Business Associations and Cultural groups throughout the Central European Region.

i-Cham CE was established in order to leverage the network of Irish business people across the CE countries who can support Irish export oriented businesses who are already present in, or looking to access, this dynamic region.

The Central European Region represents 11 EU countries with a population of over 100,000,000 and GDP over EUR 1.5 Trillion.

The Mission:

The mission is to provide a practical network of people and information within the CE region with a focus towards assisting Irish SME's looking to increase exports into the region. The aim is to achieve this by:

1. Provide a platform for the current bi-lateral Irish chambers active in the region to cooperate and share information and networks.
2. Raise awareness of the existence of the Irish diasporas in the region and the value of their skills and experience to others.
3. Raise awareness of the opportunities in the CE region and provide a portal for Irish business to help explore and expand their business interests in the region.
4. Provide a vehicle for large, well established Irish businesses in the region to act as mentors for small Irish businesses looking to branch into the region.
5. Act as a conduit for indigenous CE businesses who may want to invest into Ireland.
