The Holiday World travel show took place in Dublin from 24 to 26 January 2014. CzechTourism were among the exhibitors with representatives from the Czech Embassy in Dublin also in attendance.
The main objectives of the Travel Show were to showcase companies and organisations working in the tourism sector, such as travel agencies, tourism authorities and other travel associations, as well as of course the mediation of a diverse range of information to the general public.
Visitors to the CzechTourism stand could find tourist information about the Czech Republic and choose from a wide variety of brochures. The aim to present the Czech Republic and its national products, as well as its rich natural and cultural heritage was completely fulfilled. The Holiday World Show Dublin was the first event using the exhibition banner with the new logo - Czech Republic "Land of Stories". In addition to the brochures on the stand visitors were also invited to taste the world renowned Czech beer, Pilsner Urquell.
The CzechTourism stand was also honoured by the visit of the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Mr Oisín Quinn and Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Ireland, Mrs Hana Mottlova.
The annual Irish Travel Industry Awards were also held in tandem with the Holiday World Show Dublin. CzechTourism together with the Czech Ambassador were in attendance with Prague in the nominations for the prize of Best European City Destination.
