On 13 May well known Czech economist Tomas Sedlacek gave a presentation on the current European financial crisis followed by a question and answer session with the audience. The event was held in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic.
Tomas Sedlacek’s presentation was well received by the attentive audience. The well known Czech economist used a very original metaphor to explain the difficult situation in the European financial sector. He went on to clarify the Czech position and outline the options for future procedures. During the discussion that followed, some of his views on the topics of economic growth and stability, increasing unemployment or the need for austerity measures certainly came as quite a surprise to those listening, however his views were well supported by logical and concise analysis.
