This year’s “Holiday World Show” event took place on 27 – 29 January 2017 in Dublin. The event is the largest of its kind in the tourism sector and this year attracted 35 000 visitors, which is an 11% increase over 2016.
With the support of the Czech Embassy in Dublin, representatives of CzechTourism London were at a stall in the Central Europe section where it was accompanied by Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.
The Czech Republic was very successfully presented as an extremely popular tourist destination, characterized by unique architecture and many natural and cultural monuments. In addition, visitors could find a plethora of information on Czech spas and health facilities.
Another unique attraction of the Czech stall was the chance to taste Czech Republic’s world renowned Pilsner Urquell lager beer, which was very much enjoyed by the visitors.
On the opening day, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ireland welcomed to the stall the President of the Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) Cormac J. Meehan, as seen in the photograph (right: Czech Ambassador Hana Mottlová, left: head of CzechTourism London Katarina Hobbs).
