The aim of this event in Copenhagen and Aarhus was to raise awareness of the important role played by the Moravian Brethren in spreading Christianity in Greenland (see also Moravian Brethren in Polar Lands). Both the lecture and the documentary film focused particularly on the history of foundation of Herrnhut in Saxony and Christiansfeld in Denmark and the difficult journey of three Moravian missionaries who came from mixed Czech-German families – Matthäus and Christian Stach from Mankovice by Suchdol n. Odrou and Christian David from Ženklava. A considerable part of the movie was devoted to Samuel Kleinschmidt, Greenlandic-Danish-German member of the Moravian Church.
