Lecture in the Danish Jewish Museum in Copenhagen by Ambassador Zdeněk Lyčka

The lecture Cultural Life of Jewish Children and Youth in Theresienstadt’s Ghetto was held by Czech Ambassador Zdeněk Lyčka in the Danish Jewish Museum in Copenhagen on 17 April 2012.
The event arranged for VIP guests was organised in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Copenhagen, the Danish Jewish Museum in Copenhagen and Terezín Memorial. The afternoon lecture was opened by Janne Laursen, Director of the Danish Jewish Museum, and Israeli Ambassador Arthur Avnon.

All 40 seats in the lecture hall were filled. Beside the Ambassadors of Israel, Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Georgia and other diplomats, there were representatives of the Danish Institute for International Studies (Holocaust and Genocide), the Chairwoman of the Theresienstadt Society in Denmark and several Danish Theresienstadt prisoners, the Chairwoman of the Danish departement of WIZO (Women’s International Zionist Organization), the chairwoman of the Association Ballerup-Praha 10, a professor of modern history from the University of Southern Denmark in Odense and several Czechs and Poles living in Denmark.
