Screening of the documentary "Miloš Forman: What Doesn´t Kill You..."

The film season of 2010/2011 at the Czech Embassy continued on Tuesday 18 January 2011 with the screening of the documentary “Miloš Forman: What Doesn´t Kill You…” (2009) by Miloslav Šmídmajer.
This ambitiously conceived documentary reveals Miloš Forman´s life-story with focus on the experiences and situations which have had a considerable impact on his work and in various contexts been reflected in his films.
The audience (around 80 guests) consisted of Czech expatriots and Danish guests, but also a larger number of diplomats and journalists. The documentary received generally a very positive feedback and the guests expressed their interest in seeing more of Miloš Forman´s films. Therefore, it could be a possibility to arrange a project retrospectively looking at Miloš Forman´s movies on the occasion of his coming 80th birthday in 2012.
