The Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Embassy of the Slovak Republic, in cooperation with Det Danske Filminstitut Cinemateket, prepared the screening of a movie: A Prominent Patient / Masaryk /
When: Sunday October 28th at 19:00 hrs.
Where: Cinemateket (Gothersgade 55, 1123 Copenhagen)
We are very pleased that the leading actors Karel Roden and Oldřich Kaiser as well as the producer Rudolf Biermann have confirmed their presence, giving the audience a unique opportunity to participate in an after-movie discussion.

The movie tells a story of Jan Masaryk, the son of the first Czechoslovak president T. G. Masaryk, the former Czechoslovak Ambassador in London as well as the former minister of Foreign Affairs of Czechoslovakia. Taking place in the period shortly before the beginning of World War II, the movie depicts a personal struggle of Jan Masaryk in relation to a dramatic political atmosphere. On the Czech Lion Awards in 2017 the movie won 12 awards, including the award for best movie, best director, best actor in a leading role etc. and since its release it has been well-received by movie critics as well as by the general public.
