The President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Miloš Vystrčil, and his delegation visited the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, to see a photographic exhibition by the prominent Czech photographer Roman France entitled "Collectives".
The exhibition presents a selection of the group photographs taken in different countries and cultures since 2015, focusing on community engagement. Especially for Romania, this international collection is complemented by original collective portraits from six Czech villages in Banat. This is the second exhibition as part of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the arrival of Czechs in Banat this year. The first exhibition dedicated to the Czechs in Banat was on display at the National Village Museum in Bucharest in September this year. During the exhibition, the President and the delegation met with representatives of the Czech branch of the Democratic Union of Slovaks and Czechs in Romania. Together they discussed the possibilities and the status of the process of separation of the Czech branch in Romania.
