
NATO Contact Point Embassy: " Strategic Importance of the Western Balkans and Cybersecurity Challenges ".

On 29 June, a roundtable was held at the Maison de la Paix in Geneva, where Czech, Swiss, and Alliance experts discussed ensuring peace and stability and security challenges for the Western Balkans region.
NATO Secretariat representative Dragana Vesovic recalled the history of NATO support for peace and stability in the Western Balkans and the strategic importance of the region for a stable Europe, as reflected in the new NATO Strategic Concept. Colonel Christoph Fehr spoke about the Swiss experience as a former commander in Kosovo and the cooperation with NATO in the framework of the KFOR mission.
The expert roundtable on cybersecurity challenges in the region was brought together to exchange experiences with former Czech Prosecutor General JUDr. Pavel Zeman, a specialist in war crimes and cybercrime, Kristýna Zábojníková, an expert at the National Office for Cyber and Information Security of the Czech Republic, and Marc Henauer, head of MELANI, Operation and Information Centre of Switzerland.
