The opening was attended by local religious leaders such as the Mufti of Tripoli and Norhtern Lebanon and the Archbishop of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church, and further representatives from the local cultural scene,  several ministers and members of Parliament, the Governor of Tripoli and other politicans,  expatriates and friends of the Czech Republic. In his speech, the Ambassador recalled the commemoration of the fall of the Iron Curtain in 1989 and the  photographer´s ties to the Czech Republic and his active role in promoting partnerships among Czech and Lebanese universities specialized in artistic photograhpy.  

All the important media were present and the exhibition was well received by the local and regional press.
