Humanitarian Aid

In providing humanitarian aid, the Czech Republic follows the international humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality and independence, with an emphasis on respect for international humanitarian law, refugee law and human rights. Humanitarian aid includes both immediate response to crisis situations and subsequent assistance in restoring basic living conditions and strengthening resilience to further shocks. In Ethiopia, the Czech Republic cooperates with UN agencies as well as with local and Czech NGOs.
