Call for Proposals: PROPEA 2026 – Ethiopia

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa invites local entities to submit proposals under the PROPEA – Projects for the Support of Czech Economic Activities Abroad programme for 2026. The aim is to provide Czech companies with specialised services delivered by a vetted local implementer, reducing market‑entry risks and supporting their longer‑term presence in Ethiopia.
Eligible applicants
Local entities established in Ethiopia with legal personality and proven expertise to deliver the services listed below to Czech companies.
Scope of services under PROPEA
- Business plan preparation for market entry or investment
- Legal, tax, financial and regulatory analyses
- Product launch and market entry support (liaising with financial institutions, account opening, company incorporation, financing)
- Licensing, certifications, product registrations and trademarks
- Import/export and logistics (documentation arrangement and verification)
- Creation and coordination of supplier and partner networks
- Marketing and PR services
- Support for production/service start‑up
- Use of technical facilities
Note: Representation in market is possible only on a commercial basis between the company and the local agent (no funding from the PROPEA budget).
Financial & timing parameters for 2026
- Maximum PROPEA allocation per diplomatic mission in 2026: CZK 300,000.
- Cap for “support for clustering of Czech companies in the territory”: CZK 50,000 per project.
- Mandatory co‑financing by the Czech company: at least 30% of the service price.
- Indicative implementation window: April – October 2026 (services may start only after the contract with the Embassy is signed).
How to apply
Applicants shall submit:
1.The PROPEA Project Identification Form: Identification Form PROPEA please fill in (DOC, 61 KB) - please fill in and send to us.
2.Proof of legal personality in Ethiopia and authorisation of the signatory.
3.Brief references and a concise rate card / list of services (if not already included in the form).

Next steps
Proposals will be assessed by the Embassy and forwarded via the Economic Diplomacy Department (OED) to the PROPEA Evaluation Committee. Projects may start only after funds are allocated and a contract with the Embassy is signed. Applicants will be informed of the outcome by the Embassy.
