
Government of Ghana inaugurates ten polyclinics built by a Czech Company

Polyclinics constructed by a Czech company VAMED Health Projects CZ, were in August 2018 inaugurated in the Central region by the government of Ghana
Ten polyclinics, worth hundreds of millions of CZK, constructed by the Czech company VAMED Health Projects CZ s.r.o., through its representative in Ghana, VAMED – Ghana, were in August 2018 inaugurated in the Central region by the government of Ghana.
Mr. Kweku Agyeman-Manu, the sector Minister, inaugurated the facilities at separate durbars of the chiefs and people amidst pomp and pageantry as many of the people applauded the contractors and all partners for working tirelessly for successful and timely completion of the projects. The representatives of Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ghana were presented at inauguration in Dawurampong.
The polyclinics were constructed with financial support from the Czech Republic and were fully completed in June 2018. They are located in Akonfodi in the Assin North, Etsii Sunkwa and Ajumako in Ajumako-Eyan-Essiam, Jamra in Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa and Narkwa in the Ekumfi District. The rest are in Dawurampong in Gomoa West, Potsin in Gomoa West, Mankron, Awutu Senya Municipality, Twifo Praso in the Twifo Attimokwa District and Briwa in the Mfantseman Municipality. Each of the state of the art health facility has wards, outpatients departments, consulting rooms, washrooms, morgue, mother and child service areas, dispensaries, residential apartments for the hospital administrators and generator sets. The state of the art infrastructural health facilities are expected to reach out to over two million people in the region.
