The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abuja uses, for the given type of registrations for the acceptance of applications, an electronic registration system for applicants, which is conducted once per month on the basis of criteria published on the website of the Embassy. This is an electronic system that enables appointments to be allocated only to applications that have fulfilled the published criteria, and in an order based on a random element, in accordance with Section 169f(3) of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Territory of the Czech Republic and on Amendments to Certain Acts. Appointments are always allocated for the following month.

Registration is open for 4 hours. The registration system sends the applicant a notification informing him/her whether the registration request has been delivered and how it has been processed. Registration requests delivered within the registration interval that have fulfilled the published criteria are, within the available capacity, assigned an appointment by a system using a random element. The chronological order of delivery of registration requests during the registration interval is not decisive for the allocation of an appointment. The Embassy communicates only with applicants to whom an appointment has been allocated within the available capacity for the given period. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers this system to be transparent and fully compliant with the requirements of the case law of the administrative courts.

If a registration request for the submission of an application was not selected by a method based on a random element due to the limited capacity of the Embassy / a government-imposed quota and no appointment was allocated, the applicant was informed of this fact electronically. Requests for the allocation of an appointment submitted by a method other than the one described above cannot be accommodated.
