Parliamentary Forum of the Community of Democracies attended by Petr Gandalovič, a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament

Petr Gandalovič visited Washington, DC, on September 13-16, 2010 to partake in the Parliamentary Forum of the Community of Democracies on Capitol Hill. During his visit, he met with members of the Obama administration and think-tank community to discuss current Czech – US relations.
On September 15, 2010, Mr. Petr Gandalovič, a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, participated in the Parliamentary Forum of the Community of Democracies held on the occasion of the International Day of Democracy in the US Congress. He presented his remarks alongside his colleagues from Georgia, Ukraine, Poland and Moldova in a panel dedicated to the support of democracy in the Eastern European region.
Mr. Gandalovič, a member of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Czech Chamber of Deputies, also met with representatives of the State Department and the National Security Council to discuss Czech – US relations and prospects for further close cooperation. He then discussed broader aspects of the current US policy towards Russia with the Director for Russia at the National Security Council Leslie Hayden.
Mr. Gandalovič further engaged in a discussion regarding Czech-US relations with the expert community and members of the administration in a round table session organized by the prestigious think-tank Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA).
