The Avalon Theatre will screen the award-winning sci-fi thriller Restore Point on July 10, at 8 pm, as part of the Lions of Czech Film Series, bringing top films to the Washington community.

In this sci-fi thriller set in the year 2041, a controversial scientific breakthrough provides the key for citizens to reboot to their last saved “restore point” following a violent crime. The technology has drawn the disdain of the terrorist group River of Life. When the technology’s founder winds up dead without a saved restore point, detective Emma Trochinoska (Andrea Mohylová) takes on the complex murder case. Could River of Life be the culprits, or are darker things at play here?
