Classical Guitar Concert: Vladislav Bláha

The Embassy of the Czech Republic will feature Czech classical guitarist Vladislav Bláha on January 30, 2020, at 6 pm. The program will include such works as Janáček’s I am waiting for you (Čekám tě), Ježek’s Bugatti Step, Rak’s Elegy, as well as compositions by Bach, John W. Duarte, Manuel de Falla, Nikita Koshkin, and Carlos Jobim.
Called “one of the finest Czech guitarists” by Music Opinion Magazine, the internationally renowned guitarist has performed in some of the most prestigious halls in over 45 countries, including Carnegie Hall. He is the winner of four international guitar competitions in Greece, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Germany. Currently, he serves as a professor of guitar at Brno Conservatory and a lecturer at the Janáček Academy of Music in Brno.
