President of Mongolia Khurelsukh presents state order to Ambassador Jiří Brodský

On December 10th, 2021, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, along with Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg, received Ambassador Jiří Brodsky with regard to the end of his diplomatic tenure in Mongolia, and to express recognition and gratitude for the latter’s contribution to the development of friendly relations between Mongolia and the Czech Republic.
Mr. Khurelsukh said that Mongolia has excellent relations with the Czech Republic thanks to many Mongolian nationals graduated from Czech universities. He conveyed high recognition for the Ambassador’s achievements in commercial relations, the projects implemented in the scope of EU activities, and promotion of Czech culture. The events, such as the celebration of the 70th diplomatic anniversary, exhibition of ice sculptures depicting famous Prague architectures, and photo exhibition in the format of remembrance of highlights in the diplomatic exchanges between the two countries were mentioned during the meeting.
Ambassador J.Brodsky extended thanks for the time, and underlined his efforts made during his tenure for upgrading the bilateral relations in all fields. A great number of new business projects commenced during the period, which resulted into a substantial 32 percent increase in Czech exports in 2021 from the pre-Covid period of 2019. An essential part of the bilateral cooperation is environmental conservation and protection of endangered species. The Prague Zoo, in collaboration of the Czech army and the partners, has carried out nine transports, which brought 34 Przewalski’s horses to Mongolia from European zoos.
At the end of the official meeting, President Khurelsukh, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 39, presented Jiří Brodsky with the Order of Polar Star, the highest honor a foreign national can receive.
After the meeting with the President, Minister B.Battsetseg respectfully welcomed Ambassador J.Brodsky for a meeting, during which she expressed gratitude for the Ambassador’s success in enhancing the two countries’ relations during his tenure, and handed over a Golden Gerege, a Mongolian Traditional medallion of honor and authority.
