The ninth transport of wild horses to the Great Gobi B strictly protected area of Mongolia has been successfully carried out from the Prague Zoo in June this year. Thus, through inviting partners and participants of this year’s transport to his residence with his wife, Mr. Jiří Brodský Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Mongolia expressed his gratitude and provided the opportunity to discuss the plan of the 10^th anniversary to be remarked next year and initiate the discussion regarding future activities of Prague Zoo towards protection of endangered species in Mongolia.

From Mongolian side, the meeting was attended by Ts. Batbayar deputy minister of environment and tourism, P. Tsogtsaikhan head of environment and natural resources department, O. Ganbaatar head of department of protection of Gobi B strictly protected area, B. Mr. Ganbaatar, Nestor of Environment O. Dorjraa, Ya. Adiya director of the Wild Camel Protection Foundation and other delegation from state agencies.

Director of Prague Zoo Miroslav Bobek with his Deputy Jaroslav Simek held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of Gobi Bear Foundation Mr. D Tsogtbaatar who visited Prague Zoo in May of this year during his official visit to the Czech Republic. The main theme of the meeting was activities of Prague Zoo towards protection of the Mazaalai bears, saiga and wild camels as well as their support to the reforms of the protected areas and their rangers.
