The Czech Consul was awarded the Order of the Polar Star

President of Mongolia Kh. Battulga on February 22, 2019, awarded the High State Order of the Polar Star to the counsellor and consul of the Czech Embassy in Mongolia, Mr. Václav Dobeš, as a prize for his successful long-term activities of his and his consular and visa departments and the contribution to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
In the Czech Republic, the largest Mongolian community from all European countries lives permanently or long-term in the tens of thousands of people. Thanks to the great interest of dozens of companies from the Czech Republic in Mongolian workforce, this number continues to grow every year. At the same time, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Mongolia represents 5 other Schengen states in short-stay visas.
Mrs. Baigalmaa, Deputy of the Office, handed over the distinction to Václav Dobeš in the presence of his colleagues and employees of the Office of the President of Mongolia.
"The Order of the Polar Star" is the fourth highest state award, approved by Government Decree No. 148 on June 30, 1990. It is also the highest state award to foreign nationals. Up to now 25 people have been awarded.
